In 1858, the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared to a young peasant girl named Bernadette in Lourdes, France.
Through a set of private revelations, Our Lady revealed herself as, “the Immaculate Conception.”
Through Bernadette (St. Bernadette), Mary revitalized the faith of millions, and continues to do so.
If you couldn’t tell, the next novena we will pray is the Novena to Our Lady of Lourdes! ;)
We will start praying on February 2nd!
The devotion to Our Lady of Lourdes is most well-known for the miraculous cures and healing of illness & disease.
So one of the intentions we will pray for throughout this novena is for healing. In one way or another, we are all in need of it, especially before we reach Heaven — whether that healing is one of our sins, or healing of our infirmities.
We will also pray for the conversion of sinners, including ourselves. This was an important intention in Bernadette’s life, and she offered up much of her physical suffering for this cause.
And lastly, we will also pray for the faith of those who have fallen away from the Church, for those who are lukewarm in their faith, and for greater faith to be practiced within all families.

The feast of Our Lady of Lourdes is on February 11th, which was also proclaimed as World Day of the Sick by St. John Paul II.
We’ll start praying on February 2nd. That’s one week away, so be sure to get the word out!

Dearest Mother,
You brought me to the Catholic faith fifteen years ago through a visit to Lourdes! You have given me a wonderful husband and four beautiful children. And now at 42 I am diagnosed with breast cancer. I am in shock and fear, mostly fear that it will return after the chemotherapy. I implore you to ask Jesus most fervently that he heal me completely and never let the cancer ever come back. That he will let me live to be an old lady for my children and grand children’s sake! I cannot leave my children for years as they are so young- Sebastian just a baby! And please heal Sophie who also has breast cancer, and Wendy, and all the others for whom I am praying. And please bring many many people back to Jesus and the faith through this time.
Our Lady of Lourdes please pray for my nephew, please touch his heart to be good. Lead him to good ways in everything he does. Bless our family with good health and better life .. Heal me and lift me from my past broken relationship.. May my wish to visit your Gtotto in France be granted, in Your will not Mine ..Thank you Mama Mary.Amen
Please pray for my family. Especially my uncle who has fallen hard on drugs. Lord you know how much we need you and how much he needs you to touch his heart. I also pray for my father, he is having a hard time because of this. Amen.
I prayed the Pray More Novenas for the first time in January of 2016 (the Novena to St. Peregrine). I have been praying to St. Peregrine since July 2015 when I was first diagnosed with cancer. However, i was not aware of the St. Peregrine Novena until I visited the Shrine in Chicago at Our lady of Sorrows Basilica. I thank God for His grace and healing through the Blessed Mother and the intercession of St. Peregrine. I completed my chemotherapy rounds (all six) and last Thursday I had a follow-up lab that showed an increase in my white blood count and absolute neutrophils (which were significantly decreased by the chemo treatments). In addition, there was no signs of infection. This made my day! Thank you St. Peregrine.
I have been praying on this site for about a year now & it has been a great comfort to me during a time when my son suffered from severe depression. Thankfully he is doing much better & I thank the Lord & all for their prayers. Now I need your prayers again for my other son & daughter in law who have just gotten a dismal prognosis for their unborn child. Please pray for them that their baby will be born healthy & that the Lord will give us all the faith & strength to get thru this. I am praying for all that their needs will be granted thru our Lord & savior Jesus Christ.

I don’t understand this novena, I’m sorry. I had forced electric shocks to my brain nearly 20 years ago and been to countless healing masses with priests who have the gift of healing. But I remain
a catatonic zombie, a walking lobotomy. I am 59 now and have a 36 year old daughter. She too is lost.
I just don’t know or understand. I can’ t write the novena since writing abilities are difficult.
Please pray for me. I am pregnant and at my first ultrasound there was no heartbeat detected and baby was measuring 3 weeks too small. I am praying for a miracle, but if it is not the Lord’s will that this baby survives, I pray for healing. This will be my 3rd miscarriage in the past 1.5 years. We have one healthy boy. Each miscarriage is so heartbreaking. It is getting difficult to handle. Please pray that we may have more healthy children.

Please pray for my mom during this next novena. She had a special devotion to Our Lady of Lourdes. She is in a lot of pain from arthritis. She has some dementia.
My husband and I are considering applying from Haiti. There are many obstacles that only God can navigate for us. Please pray for clarity in his will.

Please intercede and help my daughter conquer her stubborn attitude, fear of failure, refusal to try, and difficulty in being corrected and listening to directions. Please help her learn to have a gentle heart, to practice obedience, and to fulfill her duties, especially in regards to school. Please help her cultivate an attitude that will help her succeed in school, especially in being able to move into the next grade successfully.
