Pentecost Novena

We will be praying the novena to the Holy Spirit for Pentecost!

It’s going to be amazing.

There is going to be a very special intention for this novena. It’s going to be pretty neat.

So, please take just a moment to sign up on the right hand side of this page if you haven’t already done so.

Now, for the intention:

It’s important that we trust God. It’s important that we put our faith in the Holy Spirit. So, for this novena, I’m asking people to come up with a personal, measurable intention.

I don’t mean just some general intention like…Peace or for the poor. I mean something very specific in your life. Something like… Peace in your heart after the death of a loved one or for one particular person who is struggling financially.

Then I’m asking you to pray specifically for that intention to the Holy Spirit with trust in His providence for you and your intention.

If you would like to make this intention public, you can post a comment at the bottom of the Holy Spirit Novena page with your prayer intention. (The name you put in will be displayed publicly)

Then at the end of the novena I’d like you to look around and see how your prayers were answered.

As you know, prayers aren’t always answered in the time or the way that we expect, but I’m sure that the more trust you put in the Holy Spirit, the more He will take care of you and your needs.

Bring your Friends!:

I want to get up to 3,333 people praying this novena. Why? Well, the Holy Spirit is the 3rd person of the Holy Trinity. So, 3333 is a pretty good number I think!

I am, of course, going to need your help!

I need you to send ONE message. That’s right. Just one!

  1. Dear Holy Spirit I want your power and help to instill in my family members the gifts and fruits of the Spirit.

Powerful Holy Spirit I thank you for anointing me with your presence. I want many others to be filled with your presence and guidance in their life.
Fill my family, my husband and my children with the holy Spirit.I seek the spirit of Divine Wisdom and understanding in the will of God in our life.

I pray that the spirit will guide and help my children from breaking all the bondages that is preventing in their education. Oh Holy Spirit help Alvin and Alfri to complete their education in the way God desires with them.

Thank you in Jesus ‘ Name

  2. Beloved Holy Spirit I thank you for all the blessings and graces that you have showered so generously on me throughout my life. Please be with me and continue to nudge me when I am not as caring, giving and forgiving as I should be. Give me strength during the hard times to continue with strong faith and love and never doubt that all is the Will of God and He wants the best for us.

  3. Holy Spirit, You who make me see everything and showed me the way to reach my ideals, You who gave me the divine gift to forgive and forget the wrong that is done to me and You who are in all instances of my life with me, I want to thank You for everything and confirm once more that I never want to be separated from You no matter how great the material desire may be. I want to be with You and my loved ones in Your perpetual glory. Amen

In Jesus Christ, your Son’s name, I ask that you grant me the money to pay our mortgage on time each month to save our house from foreclosure, the money to buy food and medicines, the money to keep our utilities from being turned off and for the grapefruit sized swelling that is in my stomach to go away.

  4. I can’t wait! I have a very special and personal intention for this Novena. My late beloved mother would always have a Novena going and I have since picked up where she stopped. Her faith and trust was unshakable . . . I’m getting there – LOL!

  5. I really love the elegant old language of these prayers in the novena before Pentecost. Thank you for using these prayers and not dumbing down the language. I am not an old woman, but I grew up as a Protestant, using the King James Version of the Bible, and I’m sure many Catholics remember using the Douay, which I am happy to see is coming back strongly into print. Use of beautiful language in prayer and worship is very important.

  6. This of course is great endeavour! Pls everyone pray for me that I may know God’s mission with regard to my life and be able to strive to fulfil His wish. This is my only wish and longing.

  7. This would be great for sharing on Facebook if that Holy Spirit image was available as a thumbnail there. As it is, only the ad is available as a thumbnail (not suitable) and I doubt friends read posts without a thumbnail.
