Join us in praying the Novena for Ordinary Time!

In the Church, we celebrate Ordinary Time for a large portion of the liturgical year. Ordinary Time is the season between Christmas and Lent and the season between Easter and Advent.

The weeks and months of Ordinary Time may feel insignificant to us. We are not intentionally working to enter deeply into the penitential spirit of preparation as we are during Advent and Lent. And Ordinary Time is not a time of purposeful joyous celebration as the Christmas and Easter seasons are.

Nonetheless, Ordinary Time can be a season of growth and holiness for all of us if we seek grace from God. We should strive to make as much use as we can of every season of our lives to grow closer to God.

Let’s offer prayers during this Novena for Ordinary Time that we and all people may grow in holiness during this season.

Why Pray the Novena for Ordinary Time?

You can pray the Novena for Ordinary Time if you are in the middle of the season of Ordinary Time. You can use this novena to seek grace from God so that you may avoid growing lukewarm during this time between the more eventful liturgical seasons. You can pray the Novena for Ordinary Time if you often struggle with keeping your faith active and vibrant during the seasons of Ordinary Time.

You can also pray the Novena for Ordinary Time for someone you know who struggles with Ordinary Time or who is seeking to grow in their relationship with God during this season.
