Seminarians are very important for our Church. Men who feel called by God to serve His Church in the priesthood must first spend many years in preparation for priestly ordination. The seminary is a place of formation, learning, growth, and discernment.
Seminarians must work hard to study, pray, and listen to God’s voice in their lives. Those who teach in seminaries and who are in charge of seminarians’ formation work hard to prepare seminarians for future service as priests.
Those who prepare for the priesthood in the seminary are in great need of our prayers. We should pray that all seminarians properly discern God’s will for them and that those preparing seminarians for the priesthood do their job well.
Let’s offer prayers in this Novena for Seminarians that God will provide all that is needed for holy future priests in our Church.
Why Pray the Novena for Seminarians?
You can pray the Novena for Seminarians if you yourself are a seminarian. You can use this novena to seek God’s help for you and for the other members of your seminary class.

The years of preparation in the seminary can be difficult for many reasons. All seminarians are in great need of Your assistance as they work to prepare for a lifetime of consecrated service to Your Church. Seminarians in poor dioceses are especially in need of Your help to prepare for the particular challenges they will face as priests.
Please pour out Your grace and assistance on all seminarians, and we particularly ask today that You help all seminarians in poverty-stricken dioceses.
Help us to always rely on You for all that we need in our lives. Give us the grace to grow to a deeper love of You each day.

The work of priests in our world today can be complicated at times. Some dioceses are in need of holy clergy to bring about reform. You can help all seminarians preparing for priestly service in such areas.
Please pour out Your grace and assistance on all seminarians, and we particularly ask today that You help all seminarians in dioceses that need to be reformed.

Help us to place all of our trust in You, even in times of great difficulty. Give us the grace to rely on You for all that we need, even when we do not understand Your plan for us.

Help us to always do all we can to grow in virtue and holiness in our lives. Give us the grace to surrender every aspect of our lives fully to You each day.

Seminarians must especially work to cultivate this zeal for souls in themselves so that they might serve You well in their future role as priests.
