Our Heavenly Father entrusted Mary, His chosen daughter, into Joseph’s faithful care, and in your holy union, the love of heaven was made visible on earth. Yours was a marriage of deep interior communion with one another and with God, and through it you offer a taste of the joy that awaits us in heaven. 

Holy Spouses, draw me into the heart of your holy union, that I may walk in the light of your example and find joy in doing God’s will. Extend your tender care and love toward me, adopting me as your spiritual child. 

Help me to honor the vocation God has given me—whether in marriage, consecrated life, or single-hearted service to Him. Teach me to love with patience and self-gift, to choose virtue over comfort, and to trust in God's plan even when it is hidden.

You lived your lives in perfect trust of God’s mysterious and wonderful plan. Even when the path ahead was uncertain, you never wavered in your faith. You each responded to the angelic message of the coming of Christ with lively faith, embracing fully your role in God’s salvific work.

Through your sacred union, Christ was born and brought up, prepared by you and your holy marriage for the work given to Him by the Father.

Your life together in Nazareth, though mostly hidden, radiated joy and love. In the simplicity of daily life, in shared prayers and sacrifices, you created a home where Jesus was known, cherished, and adored.

Holy Spouses, teach us to walk the quiet path of holiness. Help us to welcome God into the ordinary tasks of each day, to embrace simplicity, and to love without condition. Pray that my/our home may be a place of peace, faith, and communion.

Help me to cultivate chastity and purity of heart in my own life. Guard my mind, body, and soul from temptation and lead me to love others with a pure, generous, and selfless love.

Holy Spouses, walk with me on the path of holiness. Shelter me beneath your mantle and cloak, that I may grow closer to your Son, Jesus.

Mary, with your “yes,” you welcomed the word into your womb. Joseph, in strong silence you obeyed every command given to you by the angel, protecting your wife and child at every turn. Together, you surrendered your plans for the greater plan of God.

Teach me to follow your example. When God's will is clear, give me courage to act without delay. When it is hidden, grant me patience to wait and faith to trust. Help me surrender my fears and my need for control and submit to His will no matter how great or small. 

Holy Spouses, help me to follow your example that my heart may always be open to hearing the voice of God. Lead me down the path that will bring me closest to Jesus.

Intercede for me, that I may become a faithful servant of the Lord, always listening, always ready, always willing.

After you fled to Egypt at the angel’s command and remained there until all danger had passed, you returned to Nazareth, where you created a home to raise the Christ Child. This home was a haven of peace, faith, and love, a sanctuary where God Himself dwelled. Teach us how to keep Jesus at the center of our homes. 

Holy Spouses, pray for peace in my home and unity among the members of my family. Help us to grow in patience, kindness, and understanding. Bring healing and forgiveness where it is needed, and teach us to love unconditionally.

May our home be a reflection of Nazareth—a place of refuge and joy, where every person is welcomed with dignity and grace. Pray that our family may be a living witness to God’s love in the world.

As husband and wife, you exemplified a perfect, Christ-centered marriage, living out your vocation as God truly intended. Yet, you know the wounds we carry and the wounds we’ve caused from our experience with broken marriages and imperfect families.

Holy Spouses, in the name of your Son Jesus, banish the darkness that clouds my heart and mind. Bring light and healing to the areas of my life that have been affected by sin, and help me seek forgiveness and reparation where I have caused pain. Soften my heart so I can embrace my vocation as I ought. 

Pray for me and for the members of my family, especially those closest to me, that we may always walk in the light of God’s truth and mercy.

You recognized the voice of God through the angels that brought you His message and

followed God’s call for your life, freely and lovingly offering yourself to one another in marriage. In doing so, you not only became an example for married couples but for all people discerning this vocation. 

Holy Spouses, we turn to you now, patrons of holy marriage, and ask your intercession for all those discerning the vocation to married life. May they hear God’s call with open hearts and embrace it with the same trust, humility, and courage that you showed.

Mary, teach women to be faithful, generous, and open to life. Joseph, teach men to be strong, gentle, and selfless in love. Together, help those discerning their vocations grow in virtue, purity, patience, and faith so they may one day enter into the sacrament with joy and confidence in God's plan.

Pray that many will respond with courage and joy to the call of marriage and live it out as a witness to God's faithful and life-giving love in the world.

Holy Spouses, pray for husbands and wives everywhere, especially for those married within the Catholic Church. Open their hearts to receive the graces of this great sacrament. Guide them toward heaven as they walk together in this earthly life. Help them come to know and love Jesus as you did. 

Pray that they may follow your perfect example as they live out the life to which God called them and that they will spend eternity with one another and with you, glorifying God forever and ever.
