God wants all of us to be happy with Him in Heaven at the end of our lives. But in our fallen world, many of us stray far from Him and fall into sin. All of us are in need of conversion at some level during our lives. We must continually repent of our sin and resolve to begin again as we strive for holiness.
But sometimes, some of us fall into a deeper pattern of sin and are in need of a more radical conversion to return back to friendship with God. True conversion can only come about through God’s grace. Those who are far from God’s friendship are in great need of our prayers.
Let’s offer our prayers in the Novena for Conversion, that all people who are far from God’s friendship may be given the grace of true conversion in their lives!
Why Pray the Novena for Conversion?
You can pray the Novena for Conversion if you are striving for conversion in a particular area of your own life. You can use this novena to seek the grace of conversion for yourself.
You can also pray the Novena for Conversion if a loved one of yours is far from God’s friendship. You can use this novena to seek the grace of conversion for a loved one who has left the Church for another sect of Christianity, who has left Christianity entirely for another religion, or who has become non-religious. Or you can pray this novena for a loved one who has not formally left the Church but is not living out the Church’s rules in their life.

Novena for Conversion - Day 1
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
Amen.
Lord God, we thank You and praise You for the many ways You have blessed us and brought us close to You in our lives. We humbly ask that You grant the grace of conversion to all who are in need of it.
You created us all to ultimately live with You in Heaven. But because sin entered the world, many of us have strayed far from You. Some people even live their whole lives far from Christianity and do not know You at all.
We ask You to grant the grace of conversion to all who are far from Your friendship, and we particularly ask today that You bring all those who have never known You to conversion!
Help us to grow to a more intimate relationship with You each day. Help us to grow in holiness at every opportunity.

Lord God, we thank You and praise You for the many ways You have blessed us and brought us close to You in our lives. We humbly ask that You grant the grace of conversion to all who are in need of it.
You have given us a great gift in Your Church. But some people choose to turn away from Your friendship and to leave the fold of Your Church. Those who have left Your Catholic Church to follow another sect of Christianity are in need of the grace of conversion.
We ask You to grant the grace of conversion to all who are far from Your friendship, and we particularly ask today that You bring to conversion all those who have left Your Church to follow another sect of Christianity!
Help us to submit ourselves to You in all things. Help us to love You more and more each day.

Lord God, we thank You and praise You for the many ways You have blessed us and brought us close to You in our lives. We humbly ask that You grant the grace of conversion to all who are in need of it.
There are many ways that we all fall short during our lives and many opportunities for sin. But some of Your people have specifically chosen to turn from You to pursue a pagan life in direct opposition to You.
We ask You to grant the grace of conversion to all who are far from Your friendship, and we particularly ask today that You bring to conversion all those who have turned from You to pursue a pagan life!
Help us to turn from evil at every opportunity. Help us to abhor sin in all its forms.

Our fallen world, there are many temptations to pursue worldly pleasures. Some of Your people have chosen to turn from You in order to pursue these worldly pleasures exclusively.
We ask You to grant the grace of conversion to all who are far from Your friendship, and we particularly ask today that You bring to conversion all those who have turned from You to pursue their own desires in the world!
Help us to renounce our own wills in order to follow You more devotedly. Help us to grow in all virtues necessary for holiness.

You call us all to live virtuously and to follow the laws You have set forth for us in Your Church. But some who call themselves members of Your Church have no interest in striving for holiness or following Your laws.
We ask You to grant the grace of conversion to all who are far from Your friendship, and we particularly ask today that You bring to conversion all those members of Your Church who do not care to follow Your laws!
Help us to grow in love for You and Your Church each day. Help us to submit ourselves to You more fully at every opportunity.

You have blessed us with many holy preachers who work to spread Your Gospel and to bring souls to You. Through the dedicated work of preachers, You have moved many hearts to conversions.
We ask You to grant the grace of conversion to all who are far from Your friendship, and we particularly ask today that You help all who preach to be successful in their work of winning souls for You!
Help us to do all we can to help spread the Gospel to those around us each day. Help us to dedicate our lives to You more fully at every opportunity.

True conversion requires humility, as we submit ourselves to You and repent of our sins. You are able to give us the grace we need to grow in humility and to return to You more fully.
We ask You to grant the grace of conversion to all who are far from Your friendship, and we particularly ask today that You help us to grow in the humility we need for true conversion!
Help us to advance in every virtue necessary for holiness. Help us to love You with greater devotion each day.

Lord God, we thank You and praise You for the many ways You have blessed us and brought us close to You in our lives. We humbly ask that You grant the grace of conversion to all who are in need of it.
True conversion requires us to humble ourselves before You and to submit ourselves to Your will for our lives. This is not always easy, but You can give us all the grace we need to become truly submissive to Your will.
We ask You to grant the grace of conversion to all who are far from Your friendship, and we particularly ask today that You help us to grow in the submission to Your will that we need for true conversion!
Help us rely on You in all of our needs each day. Help us to turn to You for help and grace in all of our trials.

You wish all of us to spend eternity with You in Heaven. But many of Your people stray far from You during their lives and are in great need of conversion to regain their friendship with You.
We ask You to grant the grace of conversion to all who are far from Your friendship, and we particularly ask today that You help us to grow in awareness of our final end!
Help us to desire eternity with You more and more each day. Help us to place our relationship with You above all else.
